Roca
The world’s leading bathroom brand — complete sanitaryware, baths, brassware and smart solutions from Barcelona.
About Roca
Roca started in 1917 in Gava, just outside Barcelona, making cast iron radiators. Baths followed in 1929, vitreous china in 1936 and taps in 1954, and the company has been building outwards from that foundry ever since. Today it supplies more than 170 countries from 79 production plants with over 20,000 employees, and it is still a wholly Spanish company.
The turning point was 1999, when Roca bought the Swiss group behind Laufen – which is why both brands sit in our showroom and why their guarantees read so alike. World leadership in the sector followed in 2006. The range is genuinely complete: ceramics, baths, brassware, furniture, shower trays, enclosures, concealed cisterns and flush plates, and the water-saving and smart technologies underneath them. Roca UK has been a subsidiary in its own right since 1993, with its own team, warehousing and stock, so spares and lead times are handled in this country rather than abroad.
The guarantees are among the strongest we carry, and two of them changed recently in the customer’s favour: furniture went from two years to ten on 1 March 2026, and brassware and showers from five to ten a year before that. Ceramics and baths are twenty-five years, and the ceramic disc cartridge inside a Roca tap is guaranteed for life. The full table is below. Roca is on display in Swansea, which is the right way to judge a soft-close drawer and the weight of a bath.
