About Veldeau

Veldeau make fitted and vanity bathroom furniture, and very little else – which is the point. Twelve ranges, from the shaker Winson and Bourton through to the handleless Byford and the oak-fronted Hartley, all built on rigid carcasses with soft-close doors and drawer runners as standard rather than as an upgrade.

The company is part of Woodstock Trading Co, a family-owned bathroom business of more than twenty years – the same parent as Calypso, which we also carry. Veldeau is sold through some 1,000 independent retailers across the UK and is not available online, so a showroom is the only place to open the drawers and put a hand on the finish. There is a free sample service for every furniture colour, which is worth using before committing to a whole run.

The guarantee is five years on everything, covering manufacturing defects. One practical point their brochure makes and their website does not: if a panel is cut on site, the exposed MDF core must be sealed before the guarantee will stand. Any competent fitter does this as a matter of course, but it is worth saying out loud. Veldeau is on display in Swansea.
